The metal in the Exogrid 2 has been trimmed in a grid pattern, then replaced with carbon composite inserts that are several time stronger and lighter than the metal they replace, and at the heart of the Exogrid 2 Baseball Bat is the carbon sleeve, which provides greater handle stiffness than aluminum alone ever could with unidirectional fibers that run the full length of the handle. Using a combination of heat and extreme pressure, the sleeve,insertsandmetal wall are bonded to function as a single, solid unit.
